Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer


Job Brief: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Senior Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in selling industrial products such as bearings, gearboxes, seals, industrial lubricants, couplings, chains, belts, solid carbide tools, or power transmission products from reputed international brands including TIMKEN, NSK, SKF, FAG, NTN, Mobil, Shell, Gulf Oil, Castrol, Mitsubishi, Motherson Sumitomo, Sandvik, Kennametal, and others. The candidate must have experience in working with reputed channel partners or traders of these brands and managing sales and marketing efforts for engineering products targeted at industries such as machine tools and auto ancillary. Experience in managing a sales team and achieving targets is essential. This role demands a strategic thinker with an emphasis on new business development and customer retention.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve Sales Targets: Lead and manage the sales team to achieve revenue growth and sales targets.
  2. Business Planning: Develop and implement strategies to expand the companys customer base and ensure a strong market presence.
  3. Team Management: Recruit, set objectives, coach, and monitor the performance of sales representatives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  4. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  5. Sales Reporting: Present detailed sales, revenue, and expense reports to the management team, along with accurate and realistic forecasts.
  6. Market Analysis: Identify emerging markets, monitor market shifts, and stay informed about new products and competitive dynamics.
  7. Customer Acquisition & Retention: Develop strategies to acquire new customers and retain existing ones, ensuring consistent business growth.

Requirements:

  1. Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Experience: 4 to 20 years of experience in sales and marketing of industrial products, with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. Prior experience in managing a sales team is highly desirable.
  3. Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of industrial products, especially bearings, gearboxes, seals, industrial lubricants, couplings, chains, belts, and other power transmission products.
  4. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and manage a team of sales professionals effectively.
  5. Sales Process Expertise: Ability to drive the complete sales process from planning to closure, with excellent presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  6. Strong Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the industry landscape and the ability to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
  7. Performance Under Pressure: Experience in working with aggressive sales targets and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and influence effectively at all organizational levels.
  9. Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach with a focus on long-term relationship building and value creation.
