Import- Export Shipping and Logistics Executive

Responsibilities

• Manage all important documents such as proforma invoice, packing slips, advanced shipping notice (ASN), pick slips, couriers, bills of lading, bank reconciliation documents etc.
• Follow on the flow of goods from final stage preparation to shipment
• Collaborate with packing department, warehouse, purchasing managers to optimize & ensure smooth processes
• Handle the communication & coordination with CHA, forwarding agents, transporters and clear their account from time to time
• Communicate with buyers and buying offices logistics departments on documents and payment pertaining to shipments
• Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
• Ensure compliance to legal regulations, banking regulations & company policies
• Report to management on activities and issues
• Control budget of the shipping department

Requirements and skill

• Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
• Min. Graduate with diploma in Foreign Trade, Logistics, or relevant course
• Experience in using EDI and preparing shipping documents (e.g. ASN)
• Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
• Good understanding of budgeting and reporting
• Knowledge of relevant shipping regulations and documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Customs declarations).
• Experience in using shipping software and warehouse management systems.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, including trucking, air freight, ocean freight, and courier services.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, with additional language skills being advantageous.
