Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and transform our DevOps team into a high-performing, sprint-based platform development unit.

This individual will play a key role in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring the team delivers high-quality results that align with business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a deep understanding of Agile principles and the ability to adapt them to a fast-paced DevOps environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Agile Facilitation :

- Lead daily Scrum stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Facilitate discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution to ensure smooth team operations.

- Promote an Agile mindset within the team and across the organization.

Backlog Management :

- Partner with stakeholders to intake new tasks and ensure they are well-defined.

- Triaging tasks to assess urgency and relevance.

- Collaborate with team members to refine and groom the backlog, ensuring items are ready for sprint planning.

- Define and document clear acceptance criteria for all tasks and stories.

- Work with the Product Owner to prioritize backlog items based on business value and team capacity.

Sprint Execution :

- Lead the team in estimating tasks using story points and ensuring work is appropriately scoped.

- Assign and distribute tasks during sprint planning, ensuring balanced workloads.

- Track and report on sprint progress, identifying and removing impediments.

Team Development :

- Coach team members on Agile principles and practices, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.

- Help the team identify and implement improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

- Act as a servant leader, enabling the team to own and achieve their commitments.

Metrics and Reporting :

- Monitor team performance using key metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, and cycle time.

- Provide transparent reporting to stakeholders on progress, risks, and achievements.

Qualifications :

Required Skills and Experience :

- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a DevOps or technical team environment.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and their application to DevOps practices.

- Experience with backlog grooming, task triaging, and creating clear acceptance criteria.

- Proficiency in using Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

- Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

- Ability to lead and inspire a team toward continuous improvement and high performance.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with platform development and cloud technologies.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automation.

- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent certification.
