Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable In-House Counsel to join our legal
team. As a In-House Counsel , you will provide legal counsel and representation to
organization involved in construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws
and regulations and protecting our interests. This role is ideal for an attorney with a
strong background in construction law and a passion for delivering effective legal
solutions in the construction industry
Responsibilities
1.Legal Counsel: Provide legal advice and guidance to organization, including
construction companies, contractors, developers, and other stakeholders, on a
wide range of construction-related legal matters.
2.Contract Review: Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts,
and other legal documents to protect organization' interests and ensure
compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3.Dispute Resolution: Represent organization in construction disputes, including
mediation, arbitration, and litigation, and develop strategies to achieve favorable
outcomes.
4.Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal construction
laws and regulations, and ensure organization compliance with all legal
requirements.
5.Risk Assessment: Assess and mitigate legal risks associated with construction
projects, including addressing potential issues related to permits, zoning,
environmental regulations, and labor laws.
6.Claims Management: Assist organization in managing construction-related claims,
delays, change orders, and payment disputes.
7.Client Advocacy: Advocate for organization' interests in negotiations, hearings, and
court proceedings, as necessary.
8.Legal Research: Conduct legal research and analysis on construction law issues
and provide clear and concise legal opinions to organization.
9.Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate and comprehensive legal
documentation, including case files, correspondence, and contracts.
Qualifications:
1. Experience : 5 to 9 years of experience practicing construction law.
2. Designation: In - House Counsel
3. Strong understanding of construction contracts, construction litigation, and related
legal matters.
4. Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Willingness to adopt legal requirements and industry trends.
