Senior Manager - Export Logistics (experienced in Africa)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Export-Import Documentation Manager to oversee all documentation and logistics processes related to our international trade operations in Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in export-import documentation, trade compliance, and logistics coordination, with the ability to independently manage shipments from port to final destination across multiple African countries.

• Manage and coordinate the preparation, submission, and tracking of all export-import documentation (Pre-shipment & Post-shipment).
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of documents to banks, customers, and authorities as per contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Independently handle shipment coordination from port of origin to final destination across various African countries.
• Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics operations at the destination.
• Track all shipments, resolve discrepancies or delays, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, banks, and other external stakeholders to facilitate seamless trade operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Export-Import Documentation & Logistics.
• Proven experience handling African export-import operations is a must.
• Strong knowledge of LC (Letter of Credit) documentation, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and related documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address shipment discrepancies and delays proactively.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate remotely with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and documentation management software.
