Job Overview: The Plant Commercial Head will lead and oversee the commercial functions of the plant, ensuring the efficient execution of business strategies. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement the plant’s commercial strategy to drive sales growth, market expansion, and profitability.
Ensure alignment of commercial goals with the broader business objectives.
Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to refine commercial approaches.
Sales & Business Development:
Lead the development and execution of the plant’s sales strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and suppliers.
Identify new business opportunities and drive the plant’s market share in the region.
Pricing & Negotiation:
Develop competitive pricing models for products and services, ensuring profitability while meeting customer needs.
Oversee negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other business partners to maximize value for the plant.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Ensure that team members are aligned with the commercial goals and equipped to meet their targets.
Procurement & Supply Chain Management:
Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure efficient sourcing of raw materials and products to meet production schedules.
Work closely with supply chain teams to optimize cost-efficiency and minimize risks.
Budget & Financial Management:
Manage the commercial budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
Monitor plant performance through KPIs, sales forecasts, and financial reports to ensure commercial objectives are met.
Customer Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner to maintain positive relationships.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure that all commercial operations comply with local and international regulations and standards.
Identify and mitigate commercial risks associated with market fluctuations, contractual obligations, and customer demands.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in commercial roles, with a strong background in plant operations or manufacturing environments.
Proven experience in sales leadership, business development, and commercial strategy execution.
Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain management, and pricing strategies.
