Job Description
- Support Head-Maintenance in designing maintenance strategy in instrumentation area, for the organization to ensure maximum uptime in line with the business needs.
- Plan periodic preventive maintenance schedules and ensure its alignment with the overall pipeline operations plans.
- Scan industry best practices and provide inputs to Head-Maintenance to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide expert advice to Head-Maintenance regarding pipeline instrumentation maintenance on statutory, legal and technological advancement matters having a bearing on the pipeline maintenance
- Provide inputs to the Head-Maintenance to prepare the overall maintenance department budget.
- Monitor adherence of expenses to the budget as per allocation through periodic reviews; Identify deviations and escalate the same to the Head Maintenance.
- Review preparation of optimized instrumentation preventive maintenance schedule, updation of plan in SAP and ensure all the preventive maintenance activities are carried out as per plan.
- Support in planning, execution and commissioning of any new equipment / machinery as per MOC, in instrumentation maintenance area in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance to statutory & regulatory requirements for Instrumentation domain.
- Guide the team for troubleshooting of any critical instrumentation related maintenance issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and guide the field team to carry out appropriate corrective interventions.
- Ensure the Annual Maintenance Contracts are executed in a timely manner by the service providers.
- Guide the field team in identification of critical spares and codification of all spares in SAP, periodic review of reorder levels and reorder.
- Review Purchase Request proposals for maintenance related spares and consumables and MOC projects and provide support to Head- Maintenance in decision making.
- Create scope of maintenance work, technical bid evaluation parameters and execute technical bid evaluation for the instrumentation area.
- Provide appropriate maintenance related MIS reports in a timely manner. Review preparation, revision and approval of instrumentation maintenance related SMPs, task list and documentation based on OEM Guidelines.
- Oversee coordination with field officers to ensure the breakdown issues are addressed appropriately in a timely manner.
