Job Description
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to ensure efficient and cost-effective sourcing of materials, products, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers based on their capability to meet project requirements, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to achieve favorable terms and conditions while maintaining quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring continuous communication, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Monitor vendor performance, conduct periodic evaluations, and provide feedback to ensure adherence to quality standards and service level agreements.
- Review and analyze project budgets to identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or design intent.
- Monitor and track procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules, to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, optimize stock management, and implement efficient storage and distribution practices.
- Analyze and report on procurement metrics, such as cost savings, vendor performance, and delivery timelines, to management and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and availability of materials and products.
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10 years) in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the interior design or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and negotiation techniques.
- Familiarity with sourcing and procurement software and tools to facilitate efficient procurement processes.
- Solid understanding of materials, finishes, and products used in the interior design industry.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to procurement and supply chain management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
