Job Title : Informatica MDM Consultant - Data Engineering

Location : Remote / Pune, Maharashtra

Reports to : Data Engineering Manager or Chief Data Officer (CDO)

Job Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Informatica MDM Consultant to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) solutions for our clients.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of MDM systems, providing strategic guidance on data governance, data quality, and master data solutions.

This position requires a strong understanding of both data engineering practices and MDM frameworks, with hands-on experience in Informatica MDM products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of Informatica MDM solutions for data management and integration.

- Work with clients to understand their data requirements and provide tailored MDM strategies that ensure data consistency, accuracy, and reliability across the organization.

- Perform data analysis to assess data quality issues and implement best practices for data cleansing, enrichment, and governance within MDM platforms.

- Configure, customize, and integrate Informatica MDM with other data management tools, systems, and applications, ensuring seamless workflows.

- Define and implement data governance policies and best practices for managing master data across different domains (customer, product, supplier, etc.

- Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and technical teams to design data models, data flows, and master data solutions that align with business requirements.

- Provide subject matter expertise in MDM concepts, including data matching, data merging, and master data hierarchy management.

- Ensure proper metadata management and establish effective data stewardship practices to ensure data consistency and compliance across the organization.

- Conduct training sessions and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams and clients on the proper use of Informatica MDM tools and best practices.

- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget, adhering to scope and quality standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Informatica MDM implementations, ensuring high levels of system performance, availability, and data integrity.

- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the MDM implementation and recommend improvements to enhance data management capabilities.

- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data management and MDM, and incorporate them into ongoing projects and solutions.

- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including user guides, system specifications, and process flows, for MDM solutions.

Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree or certifications in Informatica MDM are a plus).

- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Informatica MDM (Master Data Management) solutions, with a deep understanding of the toolset and its capabilities.

- Proven experience with MDM architecture, including data modeling, data integration, and data quality frameworks.

- Strong experience in implementing Informatica MDM for data governance, data quality, and master data management initiatives.

- Proficiency in integrating Informatica MDM with other enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, and Data Warehouses (e.g, SAP, Salesforce, Oracle).

- Hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Informatica PowerCenter, and other Informatica tools.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques (conceptual, logical, and physical) and database technologies (e.g, SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server).

- Experience with data stewardship, data governance, and establishing data ownership processes across business domains.

- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for master data management, data governance, and data quality.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data issues and come up with effective solutions.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Informatica MDM certification (e.g, Informatica Certified MDM Specialist).

- Experience working with data governance tools and frameworks, such as Collibra, Alation, or similar platforms.

- Familiarity with cloud-based MDM platforms and solutions (e.g, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services).

- Experience with data integration tools (e.g, Talend, Apache NiFi) and ETL processes.

- Experience in a consulting role, with the ability to engage with clients and translate business needs into technical solutions
