Production Support Engineer

We are seeking a Production Support Engineer with strong expertise in Unix and Shell Scripting , along with experience working in a K-on (Kubernetes-on) environment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing 24/7 production support , ensuring the stability and performance of our systems while troubleshooting and resolving incidents promptly.

• Production Support & Monitoring:

  • Provide 24/7 support to maintain the stability and performance of production systems.
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot Unix-based systems and applications.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents , ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.

• Automation & Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain Shell Scripts to automate regular tasks and system processes.
  • Implement system automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions.

• K-on & Kubernetes Environment Management:

  • Work within a K-on (Kubernetes-on) environment, managing containerized applications.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps and Infrastructure teams to optimize system performance.

• Incident Management & Documentation:

  • Identify root causes of production issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Document system configurations, operational procedures, and incident resolutions.

• Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

1. Technical Expertise:

   • Unix Systems: Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments.
   • Shell Scripting: Proficiency in writing, debugging, and optimizing Shell Scripts .
   • K-on Environment: Experience working in a K-on (Kubernetes-on) environment.

2. Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking:

   • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

3. Operational Excellence:

   • Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 support environment with a focus on system reliability and uptime .

4. Communication & Collaboration:

   • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes container orchestration and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e. g. , Prometheus, ELK Stack).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks .

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of production support experience, particularly in a Unix environment.
