Job Description

Role Proficiency:

Acts under very minimal guidance to handle day-today operations board set up and rework of components in a semiconductor product development lab

Outcomes:

  1. Provide suggestions on processes or methods that can be implemented based on user requirements
  2. Ensure compliance in all lab audits (internal and external)
  3. Perform lab Staging and Scrapping tasks
  4. Perform lab Inventory handling.
  5. Ensure compliance to 6S process
  6. Perform medium complexity board setup.
  7. Perform medium complexity SMD level rework
  8. Perform first level debug for low complexity motherboard
  9. Ensures efficient operation and utilization of lab equipment/ Materials / Lab benches and Lab Floor space
  10. Complete arrangement for repair and calibration of major equipment.
  11. Handle shipments (inbound and outbound) with shipment management tools.
  12. Mentor Assistant Lab Administrators and Associate -I Lab management to effectively perform in their roles
  13. Set FAST Goals and provide feedback to FAST goals of mentees

Measures of Outcomes:

  1. Adherence to lab process and standards
  2. Adherence to schedules / timelines
  3. Adhere to SLAs
  4. Reduction of reoccurrence of handling error as per SLA
  5. Compliance to defined productivity standards for lab process
  6. Completion of all mandatory training requirements

Outputs Expected:

Compliance :

  1. Support information governance activities and audit preparations.


Configure:

  1. Basic lab set up and of host and network


Document:

  1. Create documentation for own work as well as perform peer review of documentation of others work


Inventory Management:

  1. Lab asset tracking / Lab internal transfer monitoring and control
  2. Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations
    stock levels
    and adjustments
  3. Perform periodic analysis to predict potential inventory problems
  4. Prepare material purchase list
  5. Order new supplies avoiding inefficiencies or excessive surplus.


Manage knowledge:

  1. Consume and contribute to lab related documents
    share point and client universities.


Status Reporting:

  1. Report status of tasks assigned
  2. Compliance to lab related reporting standards and process


Mentoring:

  1. Mentor Lab Assistants and Assistant I - Lab Management on the team
  2. Set FAST goals and provide feedback to FAST goals of mentees

Skill Examples:

  1. Explain and communicate to the customers
  2. Estimate time effort and resource requirements for task deliverables
  3. Perform the task in the customer or target lab environments
  4. Work in a team environment
  5. Good written and verbal communication abilities
  6. Proactively ask for and offer help

Knowledge Examples:

  • Proficient in at least one Inventory management tool
    1. Thorough understanding of hardware including desktop handheld computers Mother Boards and barcode scanners
    2. Knowledge of stock accounting program Microsoft Excel PowerPoint.
    3. Knowledge of customs clearance
