Business Analyst A bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience in Information Technology in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry, or in a related area. Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and self-starting mindset is expected. Reports directly to either an IT Program Manager, or the IT Pharma Director depending on size and complexity of the project(s) being managed. The Business Analyst is Responsible for analyzing business problems to be solved with IT solutions. Captures functional business requirements by gathering, analyzing and documenting requirements. Acts as a liaison with systems analysts and developers. Responsibilities: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and develop high level functional designs Coordinate development with relevant system enhancement and support teams Develop and perform testing and end-user functional support Requirements: BE Degree in computer science or relevant field 5+ years work experience in healthcare (e. g. Biotech, Pharma, Medical Equipment, etc. ) Liaise between the business and Group or Global IT partners Present to senior business or IT leadership Assist with budget proposals Lead training on new process or functionality Focuses on process efficiency, either by following standard operating procedures accurately or by reviewing current processes and finding opportunities for automation or optimization Business Analyst top skills & proficiencies: Reliant on manager or senior team member for day-to-day task arrangement Completes all tasks as assigned on time and at a suitable quality Listens and takes notes Expected to contribute to projects and team workstreams Seeks out peer/mentor guidance where appropriate Asks questions and escalates when necessary Follows existing processes and provide feedbacks on improvements specifics to tasks/job area Presents ideas when appropriate Refers quality candidates when appropriate Strong relationship with manager and team Focus on developing job-related skills and complete training when assigned
