Technician - Boat Maintenance

Role & responsibilities :

1. installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of outboard 4 stroke engines.

2. In-depth knowledge of outboard engine mechanics, including engine components, fuel systems, ignition systems, and cooling systems.

3. Familiarity with various types and brands of outboard engines and their specifications

4. Proficiency in installing and assembling outboard engines onto boats, ensuring proper alignment, secure mounting, and appropriate connection to steering systems and controls.

5. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, inspecting spark plugs, replacing fuel filters, and lubricating moving parts to prevent wear and tear.

6. Perform scheduled servicing of outboard engines, following manufacturer guidelines and recommended maintenance schedules.

7. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify engine problems and perform troubleshooting to determine the root cause of issues.

8. Repair or replace defective or worn-out engine components, including carburetors, fuel pumps, starters, and electrical systems.

9. Familiarity with marine electrical systems, including wiring, switches, and ignition systems.

10. Maintain detailed records of engine inspections, repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance activities.
