Project Engineer Dredging Operation

Role & responsibilities

Ensure pre- survey, movement and

positioning of dredger in area,

logistics arrangement, pipelines in

order for the project to start.

Increase efficiency, performance

and productivity of dredger team

through reviews, discussions and

regular feedback. Analyze dredger

operations to identify wasteful

running of equipment and reduce

fuel consumption, wear and tear and

operational costs. Undertake regular

inspection of the FPL & SPL to

implement corrective actions for

maintenance/change/renewal.

Regular check of the

discharge/reclamation area.

Effectively plan and monitor

preventive maintenance of dredgers

with Dredger In-Charges for

reducing down time. Follow up,

streamline and implement

processes for the team, as per SOP,

for better understanding and

accountability. Regular analysis of

dredger performance to ensure

greater than 85% dredger utilization.

Proper Resource and manpower

planning for optimum utilization of

the Dredging / Reclamation

operation on site. Accountability of

all assets i.e. boats, vehicles etc

attached to the Dredger /

Reclamation site. Keep all updated

records related to Dredging

operation & Reclamation. Analyzing

and plan for maximizing Dredging

hours and Production by reducing

idle hours and Breakdown.

Monitoring all day to day dredging

activities. Get the cut plan from

Surveyor and discuss with

Construction Manager & Dredge

Assets Requirement (if any)

Sim, Mobile and Laptop

Construction Manager & Dredge

Senior Operator to execute the

same. Monitor the production of

Dredger. Discuss and plan with

Project Managers, Works Manager

and Dredger Operators to maximize

daily productivity.

Preferred candidate profile

Ensure all safety appliances for firefighting, flooding containment and first

aid kits in order, proper place and easily accesible Promote safety culture

and practices at work site through mandatory use of PPE, risk assessment

and mitigation. Data points - Dredger performance, Operation Executions,

Safety, Productivity, Reduce Delays
