Drafting Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing detailed engineering drawings and a strong understanding of fabrication processes, particularly related to ASME Section VIII standards. As a Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate drawings, preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), and utilizing AutoCAD to bring designs to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and ASME Section VIII standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD commands and features to create, modify, and optimize technical drawings.
• Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for fabrication and procurement purposes.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure the feasibility and manufacturability of designs.
• Review and verify the quality of drawings and documents, ensuring all necessary details are captured.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Draftsman or in a similar role with a focus on detailed drawings.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD commands and software.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes and materials.
• Familiarity with ASME Section VIII codes and standards.
• Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the [specific industry, e.g., pressure vessels, piping, structural design, etc.].
• Ability to work with 3D modeling software is a plus.
