Lead Performance Test Engineer - Bangalore

This position is for our Bangalore office and you are expected to work out of the same location only.

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Lead for our offshore team who is well-versed in BlazeMeter and JMeter. 

This role requires a leader with a strong background in performance testing frameworks, tools, and processes, as well as experience guiding a team of 3-4 performance team. 

The Performance Test Lead will be responsible for developing and executing performance test strategies, providing optimization recommendations, and ensuring application performance meets established non-functional requirements. Familiarity with eCommerce technology stacks is ideal for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Define Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Collaborate with stakeholders to determine critical performance metrics.
2. Develop Performance Test Strategy and Plan: Create structured performance test plans with objectives, metrics, timelines, and tool selection.
3. Team Leadership: Lead a team of 3-4 offshore performance engineers, providing direction and mentorship on test planning, tuning, and optimization.
4. BlazeMeter & JMeter Expertise: Leverage BlazeMeter and JMeter to develop, execute, and automate performance tests; analyze results and ensure they align with NFRs.
5. Manage Data Requirements: Organize data requests to ensure realistic performance scenarios for testing.
6. Oversee Test Execution: Coordinate test runs, monitor performance results, and validate against NFRs, ensuring optimized application performance.
7. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Identify and implement performance improvements in collaboration with engineering teams.
8. Generate and Report Metrics: Provide insights through performance metrics that gauge system stability, scalability, and speed.
