Embedded Linux Development Lead - Kernel/Device Driver (8-10 yrs)

Job Description :

As an Embedded Linux Development Lead, you will oversee and guide a team of engineers, working closely on the development of Linux drivers and kernel modules.

You will play a crucial role in architecture, design, and ensuring adherence to best practices for driver development.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead a team of engineers in embedded Linux development, providing technical guidance and mentorship.

- Define architecture and development standards for kernel and driver modules.

- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met in design and development phases.

- Oversee the implementation of efficient Linux graphics, audio, and power management drivers.

- Optimize performance and ensure system stability and scalability.

- Conduct regular code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Mandatory Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in embedded Linux driver/kernel development.

- Extensive knowledge of C programming, Linux kernel internals, and driver development.

- Experience with driver domains, including :

1. Graphics : DRM/KMS, OpenGL, Vulkan, Mesa.

2. Multimedia-Video : Vaapi, vdpau, gstreamer.

3. Audio : ALSA ASoC, I2S/TDM protocols.

- Network Drivers and Ethernet.

- Expertise in Yocto development and virtualization (Xen, KVM).

- Familiarity with system debugging and device driver programming.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with open-source contributions.

- Strong organizational skills with experience in team management and project scheduling
