Job Description

We are hiring for the role of Sales Engineer/Manager for Sales, MV, switchgear, medium voltage, electrical, MV panel


Location: Sahibabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Kolkata


Required Skill Set:

  • Sales: Strong sales and business development skills in the electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with medium voltage (MV) switchgear, panels, and related products.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of 11kV and 33kV AIS, CSS, Premset, and Capacitor Panels.
  • Tools: Ability to use marketing and sales tools effectively.

Relevant Industry:

  • Electrical manufacturing, Switchgear, or Panel manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
    • Generate new client relationships and business opportunities for medium voltage (MV) switchgear, panels, and related products.
    • Focus on key products such as 11kV and 33kV AIS, CSS, Premset, and 11kV Capacitor Panels.
    • Drive new projects and work closely with Consultants, End Users, and Project Management Consultants (PMCs).
  2. Pre-Order Closure:
    • Follow up with Consultants, End Users, and PMCs to close live enquiries in collaboration with Senior Team Leaders (STLs).
    • Work to ensure timely closure of orders by addressing customer concerns and requirements.
  3. Market Expansion:
    • Increase market share by leveraging repeat business with existing clients and expanding relationships with Consultants, PMCs, and End Users.
    • Prescribe the unique selling propositions (USPs) of Tricolite products in upcoming tenders.
  4. Product Support and Consulting:
    • Provide drawing approval support to Consultants, PMCs, and End Users.
    • Offer technical services such as SMART system introductions, space allocation, design specifications, BOQ validation, SLD, and specifications review.
  5. Research & Lead Generation:
    • Perform market research to identify new business leads and potential projects.
    • Segment the market to determine the best opportunities for business growth.
  6. Marketing Tools and Strategy:
    • Develop new marketing tools and resources as per the strategic plan.
    • Train Sales Engineers and teams on the use of these marketing tools through mock drills and monthly training sessions.
  7. Collaboration with BD & End-User Teams:
    • Collaborate with ABBs BD and End User teams to gain market information and win upcoming orders by defining effective strategies.
  8. Product Development and Promotion:
    • Advise on product development, distribution, and promotion strategies.
    • Conduct webinars and presentations to promote the company’s brand and product portfolio.
  9. Tracking Market Trends:
    • Monitor emerging markets, trends, and opportunities within the electrical sector to shape the company’s long-term strategies.

Desired Profile:

  • Experience:
    • 4-12 years of sales experience in medium voltage panels and switchgear electrical products.
    • Proven track record in business development, especially in the electrical manufacturing or switchgear industry.
  • Key Traits:
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong technical knowledge of medium voltage panels and electrical systems.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
