Job Title: Marketing Specialist (India)

Reports to: Head of Sales, India & SA (South Asia)

(dotted line to Global Marketing Director)

Business Unit: Peak Scientific India

Location: Delhi

Job Purpose

Implementation and ownership of local marketing activities in India and SA to directly support the regional Sales Team s efforts across all market verticals (primary focus on analytical/laboratory market), in accordance with, and under direction of regional sales strategy and global marketing strategy. Drive increased lead generation, enhance sales funnel quality and support high brand awareness from marketing expenditure within India. Proactively develop specific and relevant marketing campaigns for India and SA sales channels, including distributor and reseller channel marketing support. Provide India business unit with dedicated marketing co-ordination and ownership, and a go-to liaison with global/HQ marketing and product management teams.

Key Duties

  • Be primary point of contact for India and SA sales teams for marketing support, helping to better define local specific marketing needs, objectives and suggest effective tactics to achieve this.
  • Liaise with global marketing team for localized campaign and collateral delivery
  • Hold local responsibility for marketing expenditure within region within limits of any agreed allocated budget via GM and Marketing Director.
  • Work with HQ to create educational material and sales-aids for local sales team and resellers/distributor channel as required
  • Be the India-based extension to the global marketing function of Peak
  • Co-ordinate local advertising and promotional needs in accordance with global messaging and promotional strategy
  • Co-ordinate all local exhibition and seminar activity in collaboration with Global Exhibitions Manager (HQ)
  • Work closely with India business development team to develop improved outcomes from lead qualifying and lead generation
  • Take responsibility for creating locally relevant content and working with HQ team, for regional website pages to improve SEO
  • Develop local campaign for demand generation and brand awareness

  • Monthly reporting of marketing activities and output to Marketing Director and GM

Key Skills

  • Solid grasp of the role and value of marketing in a B2B technology business
  • Relevant industry Experience 3-5 years atleast
  • Well organized and ability to co-ordinate events involving people and material logistics
  • Knowledge of e-mail marketing tools
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment market advantageous
  • Comfort with product technical data and translating features to user benefit
  • Experience of using CRM and managing leads and metrics
  • Copywriting and proof-reading skills advantageous
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with high degree of initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Self-starter able to motivate themselves and work at a distance from core marketing team
  • Familiarity and competency with Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Word
  • Experience in using collaborative project/workflow tools such as Redbooth or Basecamp
