Responsibilities :

- Perform manual testing to ensure the functionality and usability of APIs and UI components.

- Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts using Python for end-to-end API and UI testing.

- Conduct load testing to evaluate system performance and ensure stability under varying levels of user demand.

- Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and detailed documentation to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and resolve issues effectively.

- Identify, track, and report defects in a structured manner and verify their resolution.

- Use tools to monitor application performance during testing and provide detailed insights into system behaviour.

- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Ensure all testing activities adhere to industry best practices and organizational standards.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in manual, automation, and load testing.

Requirements :

- 1 to 2 years of experience in automation testing, focusing on APIs and UI components. (e.g., Pytest, Selenium).

- Hands-on experience in automation testing with Python and relevant frameworks

- Proficiency in creating and executing load tests using tools like JMeter, Locust, K6 or similar.

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and tools like Postman or Swagger for API testing.

- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

- Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to write clear and comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.

- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.

- Familiarity with database testing and querying tools for relational databases like PostgreSQL.

- Exposure to security testing practices and tools.

- Prior experience in the fintech domain is an added advantage.
