Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role

A customer focused, hands-on Senior Full-stack engineer, responsible for designing, implementing and delivering state of the art payments solutions for Growth markets of PayPal. The ideal candidate is an individual with experience building software systems by engaging across the full software lifecycle, from system design and development of system backend components. Business acumen, hands-on technology skills, positive work ethic and a collaborative mindset are key to the success of this role.

The Growth Markets Engineering Team is responsible for developing and rolling out new products for PayPal s customer base in markets seeing high commerce growth across the world such as Mexico, Brazil and Japan. Our charter is to double down and drive the next wave of growth for PayPal s consumer and merchant bases globally, to propel new user acquisition, provide platform expansion through ubiquity, bring in new revenue through partnerships and to contribute actively to our organization s mission of democratizing financial services.

Job Description:

At PayPal, Full Stack Software Engineers are the architects of our global payment platform. Youll design, develop, and optimize core systems powering millions of transactions daily, delivering innovative solutions that delight customers and drive business success.

Your day-to-day:

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will:

Architect and implement large-scale Full Stack solutions.

Mentor and develop engineering talent.

Drive technical excellence and best practices.

What you need to bring:

Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field.

5+ years of Full Stack development experience.

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue).

Experience in building large-scale applications

Exposure to SQL and NoSQL technologies

Good understanding of relational databases, including strong data architecture and SQL/PL-SQL development skills

Strong experience with microservices architecture.

Experience applying software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with GraphQL or similar API technologies.

Contributions to open-source projects.

Working at PayPal is okayish. Work was challenging. Did the best I could. A lot of things depends on your team. The team that I work is bad. So, my overall experience turned really bad.

Salary - Good

Dislikes

Long working hours. Everything depends on team and managers. No good projects in my team. Very little innovation. Manager take credit of others work. Director and Management is useless. They have just been in PayPal for ages and have settled here. Absolutely no work satisfaction for me.
