Security Analyst - IT (1-2 yrs)

About the Role:

- We are seeking a motivated and security-conscious Security Analyst to join our growing team.

- In this role, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's information assets by proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating information security risks.

- You will collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain best practices and ensure our security posture aligns with industry standards.

Responsibilities

Threat Research & Analysis:

- Continuously research emerging information security threats, industry trends, and new technologies to stay ahead of evolving risks.

- Analyze potential security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Security Engagement & Remediation:

- Participate in the planning, execution, and oversight of contracted security assessments and penetration tests.

- Collaborate with internal and external partners to remediate identified vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture.

Security Awareness & Training:

- Assist in developing and delivering security awareness training programs for employees to educate them on best practices for protecting sensitive information.

Security Risk Management:

- Identify, prioritize, and document information security risks within the organization.

- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Security Controls & Compliance:

- Maintain a strong understanding of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e. , NIST, ISO 27001).

- Assist in ensuring adherence to internal security policies and regulatory compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).

- 1+ years of experience in information security, cyber security, or risk assessment.

- Strong understanding of information security concepts, threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures.

- Familiarity with information security audit and assessment methodologies.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
