Trainee - Java Technologies

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee - Java Technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of Core Java and Advanced Java concepts, coupled with a passion for web technologies development. This role will provide the candidate with hands-on experience in building robust, scalable, and secure web applications, while enhancing their technical skills in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Java Development:
• Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Implement Java collections framework and write lightweight, high-performing code.
2. Web Application Development:
• Participate in the design and development of web-based applications using Advanced Java concepts such as Servlets, JSP, and JDBC.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end components.
• Implement and maintain JWT-based security for API authentication and authorization.
3. Database Integration:
• Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) for data storage and retrieval.
• Write optimized SQL queries and use ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
4. Project Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and designers, to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the codebase.
5. Learning & Adaptation:
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Java technologies and apply them to current projects.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of Core Java (OOP concepts, exception handling, multithreading).
• Proficiency in Advanced Java (Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Hibernate, and Spring Boot).
• Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and implementing JWT-based security.
• Knowledge of Java collections framework, algorithms, and data structures.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferred).
2. Tools & Frameworks:
• Experience with development tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEA.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Basic understanding of Maven/Gradle for build automation.
3. Project Experience:
• Must have completed at least one academic project showcasing Java programming skills.
• Completed one internship project during industry training with practical exposure to web technologies.
4. Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.(A masters degree is a plus but not mandatory.)

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
