Parentune - Engineering Manager - Full Stack Development (5-8 yrs)

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend engineering, proven leadership skills, and a passion for solving real-world problems at scale.

You will lead a team of engineers to develop scalable and high-performance solutions while fostering innovation and collaboration.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Lead a team of application, front-end, and back-end engineers to drive innovation in full-stack product development.

- Develop and maintain scalable architecture with a focus on performance and maintainability.

- Guide and mentor the front-end team to ensure seamless collaboration and development.

- Independently learn and understand the existing system to drive improvements and optimize performance.

- Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into actionable development tasks.

- Write performant, testable, and maintainable code with a commitment to software engineering best practices.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps practices.

- Monitor and improve the reliability and scalability of high-performance websites.

Skills and Qualifications Required :

- Proficiency in backend development with hands-on experience in Python, PHP, NodeJS, and ReactJS.

- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful server development.

- Experience with relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, Cassandra, Redis).

- Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD (Jenkins), Git, and Linux.

- Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.

- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

- Experience with high-traffic websites and test-driven development is a plus.

Bonus : Exposure to Android app development and ReactJS.

Preferred Experience :

- At least 2 years of experience leading a team of 4+ software engineers as an Engineering Manager.

- Proven track record of building at least one solid product.

- Ability to manage sprints effectively and deliver results within deadlines.

Additional Notes :

- Alternate Saturdays are half-working days (1st and 3rd Saturdays).

- The hiring process involves technical and non-technical discussions across 5 rounds, including in-person assessments at the Gurugram office.

- The role requires a hands-on techie approach with no comfort zone for project management-only profiles
