Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify prospective customers and business opportunities to promote Liner Services (COC Carrier Owned Containers).
  • Provide competitive freight rates to assigned clients for different trade lanes and ports within the principal’s service profile.
  • Develop a new customer base while retaining and growing relationships with existing clientele.
  • Follow up on proposals and quotes, converting inquiries into firm bookings.
  • Drive sales and customer service (CS) teams to achieve volume and revenue targets.
  • Meet and exceed individual volume/revenue targets set by management.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management review.
  • Proactively search, qualify, and engage with new customers to expand market reach.
  • Provide after-sales support to existing and new clients.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned zones.
  • Assist in recovery of outstanding payments within the approved timeframe/limit.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 2–4 years of experience in sales, preferably in COC liner shipping.
  • Strong business development skills with the ability to explore new opportunities.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets under different market conditions.
  • Existing market contacts in liner shipping are preferred.
  • Fluency in English and the local language.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Presentable and professional approach to client interactions.

  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets in liner shipping.
  • Experience in Liner Sales / COC Sales & Marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of containerized shipping services and current industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive performance.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Educational Requirement:

  • Graduate from a recognized university (mandatory).
  • PGDBM/PGDIB/MBA will be an added advantage.
