Job Description

Senior Technical Expert-Database Admin | 3i Infotech Senior Technical Expert-Database Admin

Strong knowledge and experience on Oracle Database Administration (9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c 19c) with 7 + years of experience.

Primary Skills:

Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)

Evaluate the Database Server Hardware.

Define/Recommend/Maintain database Standards and Architecture.

Future Release management for database/instance and Impact Analysis.

3rd Party Vendor Support and Interaction (including TAR and OS) and can handle Client Independently.

Should be able to mentor L1 and L2 DBAs. Should be able to diagnose clustered environment.

Advance Database Performance Tuning Applications, Instance/Kernel Parameters and Tuning Memory.

Usage of AWR and ADDM, translate this and suggest improvement based on this.

Knowledge of Advanced Replication, Queuing and Streams.

Flash Recovery Features Flash back query.

Designing strategy towards Capacity Management (Growth) for DB tracks.

Knowledge of Data warehousing and Other Technologies (RDBMS) will be an added advantage.

Experience on Sun / Veritas / Microsoft Cluster. Experience with Database Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching.

Designing/Recommending Database Security Policy.

The candidate will also be required to deploy and implement enhancements that will improve the databases and infrastructure s reliability, maintainability, and performance.

In accordance with customer s security policies and directives, the candidate will deploy, maintain, and enhance the security of databases through administrative, preventive, detective, and reactive controls, such as change, configuration and patch management.

Strong knowledge on database Backup and recovery concepts.

Strong knowledge of Data guard administration.

Strong operations focus of Oracle 10g/11g/12c RAC databases which include installing, configuring and tuning.

Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) installation, configuration administration.

Install, upgrade, and configure database software and database related application packages.

Apply database software patches.

Provide security assessment and mitigation strategies.

Strong Knowledge of applying Patches and Fixes.

Strong knowledge of Database Installation Upgrades and Migration.

Knowledge/experience on 12C, HVR replication, EXADATA, Golden Gate is an added advantage.

Oracle12c Grid OEM for administration, monitoring performance analysis of Oracle instances.

Troubleshooting and monitoring Concept of Batch monitoring and batch jobs and related issues (preferred).

Working collaboratively in a team environment working in cross-functional project teams.

Fair knowledge of the ITIL process.

Ready to work in 24 7 environments.

OCP(Essential), OCE(Desired).
