Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and implementation of Azure-based data solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.

- Develop strategies for seamless integration of disparate data sources into unified, accessible, and optimized systems.

- Responsible for developing data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage using Azure tools (Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Database, Data Explorer).

- Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, addressing latency and throughput challenges.

- Ensure all data solutions comply with security and regulatory standards, implementing robust governance frameworks.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and developers, to understand business needs and deliver tailored data solutions.

- Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovations to improve the organization's data strategy.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in data architecture and engineering.

- Proven expertise in designing and implementing Azure-based data solutions.

- Proficient in Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Databricks.

- Requires hands-on experience with Azure data lake solutions and BI services.

- Role focuses on design rather than development, requiring EA Sparx data modeling experience

- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline development.

- Hands-on experience with big data technologies and tools (Spark, Hadoop).

- Advanced knowledge of programming languages like Python, SQL, and Scala.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI
