Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for the trading division.
- Lead market expansion efforts, including identifying and penetrating new regions and segments.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies as needed.
Operations Management:
- Oversee procurement activities, ensuring that the supply of motors, transformers, and other electrical equipment aligns with demand.
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and minimize stock shortages.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
Sales & Marketing:
- Set aggressive sales targets and ensure they are met through effective planning and execution.
- Oversee the development of key client relationships, particularly with large-scale industrial customers and electrical utilities.
- Ensure the development and implementation of robust marketing strategies to promote products.
Financial Management:
- Manage P&L responsibility for the trading division, ensuring revenue targets are achieved and costs are kept in check.
- Work closely with the finance team to monitor key financial metrics and make necessary adjustments to maintain healthy margins.
Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers of motors and transformers.
- Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical/Mechanical) or Business Administration.
An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in the electrical equipment industry, particularly in motors, transformers, or related products.
- Prior experience in similar field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing trading, distribution, or sales operations at a regional or national level.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, procurement, and financial management in a trading context.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
- Knowledge of market trends, competition, and industry standards in motors and transformers
