Production Executive Gold (Gems & Jewelry Industry)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Executive Gold to join our Production Department at Orient Jewellers, a leading brand in the gems and jewelry industry. The Production Executive will be responsible for managing all aspects of the production process for gold jewelry, ensuring that quality control (QC) passed and failed items are processed efficiently, tagged, segregated, verified, and prepared for dispatch. This role requires in-depth knowledge of gold jewelry manufacturing processes and good computer skills to handle inventory and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Item Receipt and Distribution:
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of received items, following the companys SOPs.
• Tagging and Segregation:
• Carry out the tagging procedure for QC passed gold jewelry items, ensuring proper identification and categorization as per company standards.
• Segregate gold items based on store-specific requirements, ensuring accuracy in product classification.
• Packaging and Dispatch:
• Prepare gold jewelry items for packing, ensuring that each item is correctly segregated, tagged, and packed according to merchandising requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation is completed for each item, including product information and dispatch instructions.
• Collaborate with the Dispatch Department to ensure timely dispatch of items.
• Quality Control Failures Returns:
• Manage QC failed gold jewelry items by tagging them for return, preparing return vouchers, and coordinating with the Accounts Department for proper reconciliation.
• Ensure that all return procedures are followed, including packing, documentation, and sealing of the returned items.
• Metal Ledger Management:
• Assist in managing metal ledger entries for gold, ensuring that all metal usage and transfers are accurately recorded in the system.
• Collaborate with the Senior Production Executive to reconcile metal ledger accounts with procurement reports on a real-time basis.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of gold jewelry items, including purchase return vouchers, QC fail reports, and dispatch logs.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory tracking, metal ledger reconciliation, and production activities.
• Discrepancy and Dispute Resolution:
• Report any discrepancies or disputes in stock to the Production Head and assist in resolving issues related to QC failures or damaged items.
• Support the decision-making process on whether to repair or return disputed gold jewelry items.

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum Graduate.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Production Executive role in the gold jewelry manufacturing industry.
• Skills & Knowledge:
• In-depth knowledge of gold jewelry manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
• Strong understanding of jewelry item handling, tagging, segregation, and packaging.
• Proficient in using computer systems for inventory tracking, documentation, and reporting.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy.
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
