Senior Engineer L4 Solution Architect /Consultant || AWS Expert Skills

The Senior Cloud Engineer will have a keenness to learn and a passion for everything cloud. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Delivery and provide Design and Engineering Services for a range of clients across several industries.

Responsibilities

• 5 - 10 years' experience in an IT Systems Engineer / Administration role.
• Experience in configuring Azure Cloud Services
• Experience in migrating workloads to Azure
• Expertise with Windows server operating systems
• Experience with Linux operating systems
• Experience with Azure AD, Azure AD Domain Services, Azure AD Connect, Azure AD B2C/B2B, MFA, Federation Services, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP
• Experience with backup tooling: e.g. azure tools, Veeam, Cohesity, Hycu
• Experience with DR architectures in Azure
• Experience in scripting: Net and PowerShell skills and other orchestration, automation or scripting languages/tools. Terraform skills highly regarded.
• Understanding of information security principles
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate solutions clearly and concisely.
• Ability to ensure customer privacy regulations are understood and implemented.

Skills and Capabilities

• Knowledge and/or experience in platform areas.
• Working knowledge of SCCM, SCOM, WSUS, SQL databases desirable
• Experience in configuring Google Cloud
• Experience in migrating workloads to Google.
• Experience with hyperconverged architectures.
• Experience with SAN Storage- e.g. NetApp, Pure
• Hands on experience of supporting and troubleshooting VMWare.
• Certificates: SSL, Root CA, Trust Chains
• Networking, TCP/IP, server security, server load balancing

Experience in configuring Logic Monitor

Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

Working as part of the delivery team and responsible for:

• Working with the Project Managers, Architects, Sales and Customers to design scalable Azure cloud platforms
• Build, configure and test Azure cloud platforms and services
• Perform deployment cutovers of cloud platforms and oversea migration of workloads (after hours)
• Maintaining high customer satisfaction
• Knowledge sharing within the team
• Willingness and ability to assist with marketing requests on an ad hoc basis (e.g. blogs and LinkedIn posts) Supporting the managed services team for P1 escalations and responsible for: incident diagnosis & resolution, service request fulfillment, root cause analysis and change execution providing inputs for the creation of SOPs and process improvements • providing after- hours IT support for P1 escalations where Level 2 and 3 are unable to resolve to meet agreed SLAs
