Manufacturing Engineer

Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a "Manufacturing Engineer" with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes & troubleshooting capabilities in the areas of electro/mechanical assemblies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all incoming components and materials meet stringent quality standards and specifications specific to semiconductor equipment manufacturing.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to ensure compliance with industry and customer requirements.
• Oversee the assembly of semiconductor equipment components, ensuring strict adherence to documented procedures, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to the assembly team to maintain consistency, precision, and adherence to quality standards critical to semiconductor equipment performance.
• Conduct detailed inspections of completed assemblies and subassemblies to confirm compliance with quality and functionality standards.
• Approve and sign off on outgoing assemblies after thorough verification of specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce defects, and ensure the highest quality standards.
• Participate in quality audits and implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified gaps and improve processes.
• Conduct inspections and sampling of packaging processes, equipment assembly, and incoming materials to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
• Monitor critical tools, equipment, and instrumentation to ensure optimal functionality, calibration, and compliance with semiconductor manufacturing requirements.

Eligibility :

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience or master's degree with 3+ years experience; or equivalent experience.
• Skilled troubleshooting capabilities in the areas of electro/mechanical assemblies.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) with an approach to structured problem-solving and decision-making.
• Working knowledge in Operation Method Sheets (OMS), process planning, and Bill of Materials (BOM) Management.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes/equipment, cleanroom SEMI standards/compliance requirements for Etch Systems.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles. Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Prior experience working within specific industries, such as semiconductor manufacturing, nanofabrication, or product development.
• Strong proficiency in systems assembly, integration, and testing.
• Excellent technical documentation skills.
• Risk management skills, including identification, assessment, and mitigation of potential risks in system assembly.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical/ electrical diagrams, Procedures & operation method sheets (OMS).
