- The Pricing Manager will lead the pricing team, responsible for developing and executing competitive pricing strategies for air and sea freight services.

- This role requires an in-depth understanding of the logistics market, cost structures, and pricing models to maximize profitability while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

- The Pricing Manager will work closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to create competitive pricing structures and manage supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy Development:

- Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies for air and sea freight.

- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to determine pricing trends.

- Monitor industry changes, including fuel surcharges, currency fluctuations, and regulatory changes, to adjust pricing accordingly.

Cost Analysis & Management:

- Analyze cost structures, including carrier rates, fuel costs, and operational expenses.

- Negotiate pricing with carriers, vendors, and agents to secure the most competitive rates.

- Optimize cost-saving opportunities while ensuring service quality.

Quotation Management:

- Oversee the generation of customer quotations, ensuring timely responses and accuracy.

- Implement systems to improve the turnaround time for customer quotations.

- Ensure all quotations reflect current market rates and align with company margins.

Customer Relationship Management:

- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and develop tailored pricing solutions.

- Support key account managers in client meetings to provide insights on pricing models.

- Engage with clients directly to explain pricing, resolve queries, and negotiate terms.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

- Track the success of pricing strategies through KPIs such as win rate, profit margins, and customer satisfaction.

- Provide regular reports on pricing performance, rate negotiations, and cost analyses to senior management.

- Manage and monitor supplier contracts and rates for optimization and improvements.

Market Analysis & Vendor Management:

- Keep updated on carrier and supplier networks to source the best possible rates.

- Develop strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and other service providers.

- Ensure that rates provided by suppliers and partners are competitive and align with the company's objectives.

Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support:

- Work closely with the sales, operations, and procurement teams to align pricing strategies with business goals.

- Lead or support negotiations with key clients, providing strategic pricing insights.

- Support the training of junior pricing staff and provide leadership in their professional development.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Profit margin per shipment.

- Quote turnaround time.

- Win rate of quoted business.

- Customer satisfaction and retention.

- Accuracy of pricing and cost forecasting.

- Cost savings achieved through negotiation with carriers and vendors.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in freight forwarding, with a strong focus on pricing and cost management.

Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of air and sea freight operations.

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

- Analytical mindset with a focus on profit maximization.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Proficiency in using freight management systems, ERP systems, and Excel.
