Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and strategy for a team of technical writers who will design and write complex parts of user assistance (also known as product-labeling documentation).
- Establish and communicate team goals that support and advance the team and organization objectives.
- Work closely with key stakeholders, including other user assistance leaders, designers, product managers, and engineering.
- Understand and explain policies, practices, and procedures within immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside the team.
- Identify, propose, and lead team- and organization-level quality and process improvement initiatives; participate and provide input on strategic initiatives.
- Deliver consistent and timely training, guidance, and feedback to encourage and promote employee success and growth through regular conversations and identification of developmental opportunities.
- Provide primary input and recommendations on staffing and performance decisions for direct reports.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including a bachelors degree in English, Technical Communication, Instructional Design, or another related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Proven ability to think critically, solve problems, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.
- Enthusiastic about information design and knowledgeable about current trends and technologies in the field.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Expectations:
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
