For a complex and extremely widely used product like Oracle Database, it is a serious but fun filled challenge to foresee customer expectations, simulate real life problems, develop tests, test infrastructure/frameworks to ensure that customers get the highest quality database.At the Database test development group, head quartered at the U.S. (and expanding in Bangalore), engineers from top tier schools are facing this challenge every day.

• B.Tech/M.Tech. in C.S. from a premier institution
• Sound knowledge of Database Architecture and life cycle operations.
• Design and development of test frameworks and tools for Database functional areas such as Oracle Data Guard, Active Data Guard, RMAN, CDB/PDB, Database Patching.
• Debugging Database failures using trace files and alert logs.
• At least 6+ years of working experience on Linux/Unix based systems
• Excellent coding skills using technologies such as Python, C++ / JAVA, PL/SQL, REST API, and cloud technologies.
• Good experience in Perl, shell or a similar scripting language.
• Excellent problem solving skills using data structures and algorithms.
• Experience/Exposure to product testing
• Experience with Oracle or any high end relational databases as application developer (server side) is desirable
• Experience as Oracle DBA is desirable
• Exposure to latest (11gR1/11gR2/12cR1/18c/19c) Oracle database features is desirable
• Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies, adeptness in seeking solutions to complex problems.
• Experience in Cloud Technologies would add value

You will work with highly motivated and enthusiastic engineers who have in-depth database administration and data centre level end-to-end work flow experience and develop test frameworks and tools to test Oracle Database Cloud from all aspects, Provisioning, Migration, Life Cycle Management, Networking, and Security. You will also get opportunity to have customer interaction and engagement.
