Oracle Database Administrator - Performance Tuning (2-3 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Oracle Database Management :

Administer, configure, and manage Oracle 19c databases, ensuring optimal performance and high availability.

Oracle Data Guard :

- Implement and maintain Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery, ensuring data replication and system redundancy.

Performance Tuning :

- Perform basic database performance tuning, troubleshoot slow queries, optimize indexes, and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Datapump Operations :

- Manage and execute Oracle Data Pump (expdp/impdp) for data export/import operations, ensuring seamless data migration and backup.

Scheduling and Automation :

- Work with Crontab scheduling for regular database jobs, including backups, maintenance tasks, and MVIEW refresh.

MVIEW Refresh :

- Set up and manage materialized view (MVIEW) refresh processes to ensure timely data synchronization across databases.

24x7 Shift Support :

- Provide continuous support, including rotating shifts, to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve any database-related issues that may arise.

- Perform on-call duties as needed to maintain database availability.

Backup & Recovery :

- Ensure proper backup strategies, implement recovery solutions, and ensure regular database backups are running smoothly.

Documentation :

- Maintain detailed documentation of Oracle database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

- Hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration with at least 2-3 years of working knowledge.

- Expertise in Oracle 19c database management, setup, and troubleshooting.

- Strong understanding of Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery setups.

- Basic knowledge of performance tuning techniques for Oracle databases.

- Proficient in Datapump (expdp/impdp) for data migration and backup.

- Experience working with Crontab for task scheduling and Materialized View (MVIEW) refresh operations.

- Ability to work in a 24x7 shift environment, with flexibility to handle night shifts and on-call responsibilities.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a high-availability environment.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
