OpsVeda Asia - Principal/Senior Frontend Engineer - React.js (5-15 yrs)

We are looking for experienced Web Development Gurus to join our team at our development center in Bangalore.

ABOUT THE ROLE :

We are building the next version of our product and you will be working on the user interface and usability aspects of the same. The product is an analytics tool used by large enterprises like Hanes Brands, Western Digital (Sandisk) and Siemens to manage their operational processes.

The product uses ReactJS in the UI/UX layer and we are in the process of adding some key components that will be fundamental to the product's new market positioning. The product relies on deep business logic written in PL/SQL (PostgreSQL database) and transactions surfaced using AI/ML. The front-end team will focus on effectively showcasing the insights from the large amount of data processed by the PL/SQL business rules. This includes charts, tabular (grid) data displays, alerts, exceptions etc.

The candidate is expected to be hands on in the details and code. But, at the same time (s)he should also be able to manage a small team of less experienced developers.

ABOUT YOU :

You have 5-15 years of experience in software engineering, preferably owning the development of a component in a software product company. You are a BTech/MTech/MS from Tier-1 Engineering college/university with rock-solid, hands-on coding experience all through your career.

Your expertise/experience includes :

- At least 3 years of recent hands-on coding experience in ReactJS

- Hands-on coding experience in HTML, CSS and Object Oriented Javascript

- Hands-on experience in coming out with technical design based on functional requirements

- Building awesome data visualizations and user interactions in Object-oriented Javascript

- Familiarity with Javascript server-side libraries that communicate with databases and external data partners

- Some exposure to database development (PL/SQL) is a strong plus - you will have to help the database team with the trouble shooting with issues at integration points

- You probably have also done some work with other technologies like Python and Node.JS. You might also be familiar with numerical computing in JS. Experience with Agile development methodology is a must.

You should be a self-starter & self-learner, enjoy coding and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. We expect you to be a techie at heart - a significant portion of your learning would have come from self-initiated trial of new technologies and techniques. Prior experience in business software product (ERP, CRM, Supply Chain) development is a significant plus but not a requirement.
