Manager - Operations

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Material Recovery Facility to meet production and Sales targets and efficiency benchmarks.
• Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recycling processes.
2. Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and supervise facility staff, ensuring optimal workforce performance and engagement.
• Foster a positive work environment with a focus on safety, teamwork, and professional development.
3. Process Optimization:
• Analyze operational processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement sustainable practices in line with municipal goals and environmental regulations.
• Good Technical know how of Machinery, equipments and Maintenance related works
4. Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and Central regulations regarding waste management and environmental protection.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on facility operations, performance metrics, and compliance statuses to the Reporting Authorities.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Collaborate with Pune Municipal Corporation, Government bodies and other stakeholders to efficiently run the daily Operations of the Plant
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all Local Operations and concerns regarding the facilitys operations.
6. Financial Management:
• Assist in budget preparation, monitor expenditures, and manage resources to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Working on Cost reduction ideas to improve Profitability of Pune MRF Operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/ Science / Mechanical Engineering background.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within recycling or waste management sectors.
• Local candidate from Pune nearby region is desirable.
• Strong work ethics , leadership ,team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good Technical know- how of Machinery, equipments and Maintenance related works.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

• This role is based at Waste Management facility and work management in shifts.
• This role involves working in an industrial environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
