Role & Responsibilities:

This position would include the mentioned set of responsibilities but not limited to:


  • To Work on General Ledger account reconciliation under various GLs in place capturing Issuing business activities as well as Acquiring activities
  • To extract data from processing applications CMS and MMS in place and work on various formats of reports to prepare system data in the format required for reconciliation
  • To manage Bank reconciliation of various Bank a/cs held by the company. To reconcile Bank statements with books on daily/weekly/monthly basis and submit clean reconciliation report
  • To complete the reconciliation of the various GL and bank accounts in a timely manner throughout the month and prepare monthly recon statement at month end
  • To prepare daily GL to GL match off reports and analyse them for any discrepancies. To share these MIS reports on daily basis with relevant Operations/ business teams and follow up for clearing of outstanding within TAT
  • To complete bank reconciliations and keep the records up to date for management review
  • Responsible for monitoring bank receipts on daily basis and in case of delays observed, if any, to raise with stakeholders, in timely manner
  • Ensure Data is accurately reported in the daily MIS of system Vs. Books match offs and that outstanding entries are analysed and understood for
  • To share unreconciled/outstanding items with appropriate departments and staff members and rigorous follow-up with stakeholders for resolution of the same.
  • Escalations of issues/outstanding if unresolved beyond TAT at skip level
  • Adhere to information security and control procedures
  • Liaise with internal and external audit members to enable an efficient and thorough audit.
  • To conduct testing for Recon automation tool under UAT and timely sharing of feedback with IT team for tool development
  • Completion of testing within TAT and with observations and inputs for successful implementation of Recon tool
  • Other ad-hoc assignments as and when required.

Job specific skills:


Applicants should possess the following attributes:

  • Experience in reconciling accounting figures and financial records
  • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including MS-Excel and Accounting packages. Ability to convert text reports and .CSV reports into Excel and work on the same.
  • Ability to identify errors and promptly highlighting the same to stakeholders
  • Appropriate handling of sensitive information
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and prompt in follow ups for issue resolution
  • Team player with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
