Senior Network Engineer - Cisco (3-5 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Operations Engineer with extensive experience in 24x7 network operations.

The ideal candidate will be adept at managing large-scale corporate networks, collaborating with clients and vendors, and leading incident resolution efforts.

This role demands expertise in LAN, WAN, security infrastructure, and modern network technologies, coupled with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Extensive Network Operations Experience :

- Handle intensive 24x7 network operations with a focus on high availability and performance.

Incident Resolution Leader :

- Act as the primary representative for the Network Team in P1/P2 incident resolution bridge calls.

Client Collaboration :

- Participate in bridge calls with clients to troubleshoot and resolve network issues collaboratively.

Vendor Coordination :

- Liaise with vendors and service providers to expedite accurate issue resolution.

Incident and Problem Management :

- Resolve network-related incidents and provide critical insights for problem management activities.

Risk Mitigation :

- Identify risks in the production network environment and propose actionable mitigation strategies.

Change Documentation :

- Maintain detailed records of all changes in the production environment, adhering to Change Management processes.

Large-Scale Infrastructure Management :

- Manage and operate large-scale corporate network infrastructure with hands-on expertise.

Global Customer Engagement :

- Interact with global customers to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues effectively.

LAN, WAN, and Security Expertise :

- Manage corporate LAN, WAN, and security infrastructure with proficiency.

Modern Technology Proficiency :

- Work with cutting-edge technologies such as Cloud, ACI, SDN, and SD WAN.

Leadership and Project Execution :

- Lead network operations, ensure smooth project delivery, and uphold operational efficiency.

Effective Communication Skills :

- Maintain strong written and oral communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.

Technical Skills :

Cisco Infrastructure Expertise :

- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers (ASR/ISR Series).

- Proficient in Cisco switches, including Catalyst 2960x, 9300, 9410, and Nexus 9k series.

- Familiarity with firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Checkpoint.

Firewall Specialization :

- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with either Palo Alto or Cisco ASA firewalls.

Routing and Switching Knowledge :

- Routing : Static, EIGRP, BGP, and Policy-Based Routing.

- Switching : VTP and STP troubleshooting expertise.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certifications :

- CCNA (Routing, Security).

- CCNP (Routing, Switching, and Data Center Switching).

- PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer).

Additional Skills :

- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting modern networking technologies such as ACI and SD-WAN.
