QA QC Engineer Production Engineer Precast & Ready Mix Concrete

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to join our team at our precast and ready-mix concrete plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and control processes, as well as managing the production of various concrete products, ensuring that all products meet the required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance:
  
• Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures for precast and ready-mix concrete production.
• Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of production equipment, ensuring it operates within acceptable parameters.
• Quality Control:
  
• Perform routine testing of concrete materials, including compressive strength tests, slump tests, and other relevant quality control tests.
• Analyze test results and maintain accurate records of all inspections and tests.
• Identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions to address any issues related to product quality.
• Production Management:
  
• Oversee the production process of concrete cover blocks, paver blocks, kerbstones, and other related products.
• Ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Coordinate with the production team to optimize workflows and resolve any production issues that may arise.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including test reports, inspection records, and quality certifications.
• Report on quality metrics and trends to senior management, providing recommendations for process improvements.
• Compliance:
  
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits and inspections conducted by external bodies, ensuring that the plant meets all necessary certifications.
• Continuous Improvement:
  
• Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and production efficiency.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control and production management, specifically in a precast and ready-mix concrete environment.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete mix designs, production processes, and testing methods.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IS , ASTM, ACI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using QA/QC software and tools.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.Role & responsibilities
