Senior Software Engineer

Role : Postgres Engineer

Educational Qualification : BE/B Tech / MCA / MSc/ Any computer graduate

Experience Required : 4 6 years in a similar role

Shift : 11 AM – 8 PM (Flexible to work in other shifts based on need)

Responsibilities:

• Should have had in-depth experience with the PostgreSQL in Ubuntu/Windows environment
• Should be good at writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
• 3+ years of database design or integration experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL DBs
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL support for JSON
• In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring)
• Ability to write optimized performance tuned queries
• Preferred to have worked in AWS environment
• Preferred to have worked on NoSQL DBs like Mongo, DynamoDB
• Preferred to have worked with any Datawarehousing/BI tools
• Good grasp of Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) tools
• Report Development, Configuration & Deployment like Tableau
• Communicate with front-end developers to define plain yet dynamic APIs
• Keep a check on data structures and quality of data with DBAs
• Integrate and maintain database code in procedures, scripts, queries, and views
• Must have a strong logical and analytical thinking ability
• Passion to take up challenging assignments and quickly come up with solutions
• Ability solve complex problems independently and to design applications
• A “can do” attitude
• Good communication and Inter-personal skills are a must

Specific technical skills desired include:

• PostgreSQL
• My SQL (2nd preference)
• Exposure to other technologies is a plus (Oracle, SQL Server, Tableau, MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB)
