Principal Engineer - IT Quality & Assurance Testing

Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Help to build a culture of quality across the entire product team - shifting quality to the left, earlier in the process
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Design and develop automated solutions that help guarantee the quality of the software across different devices and locales
Work on software testing challenges involving data integrity, API, cross browser, mobile device, Micro service and large scale rest/web services
Work closely with developers to build test automation, test infrastructure and perform code analysis/review to enable development quality
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Liaise with internal teams (e

g

pod leads, product owners) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Flex / Adapt / Pivot testing strategy as project needs change
What you need to have
2+ years manual testing
3+ years experience in Automated Testing
Strong analytical skills and Meticulous
Knowledge and experience with MEAN stack development [Node/Angular/Mongo]
Experience with test frameworks and automation tools such as playwright, Selenium, Cucumber and Sauce labs


Familiarity working in an Agile DevOps environment
QA Methodologies and software life cycle
Demonstrated experience in test framework design and development
Experience instrumenting CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Jenkins on automation job setup
Awareness of secure software development principals
Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
Interest in mentoring team members who are transitioning to use MEAN stack
Ability to work at both detailed and abstract levels
