Requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:.
Create and manage drawings, models, and assemblies for computational design group.
Apply GD&T Standards for the production drawings with proper tolerances, gaps, fitments and stack-up.
Work on the modelling/drafting of designs incorporating the use of composite materials.
Work on new product development and prototyping.
Apply DFM/A principles to yield better aircraft designs.
Incorporate ECN/ ECR engineering change management in to work processes.
Incorporate modelling of designs considering operational and manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, feasible, and cost-effective designs which meet best standards and specifications.
Provide technical support to team members and customers, reviewing/approving technical drawings and documents.
Continuously improve design processes for enhanced efficiency and quality.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Desired qualifications and skills:.
A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
Prior experience managing other CAD personnel desirable.
Proficient in mechanical design using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Handling of complex assemblies with high number of electro mechanical parts and creation of assemblies of different configurations suitable for different phases of project.
Knowledge in the application of GD&T compliant to standards like ASME 14-5/similar.
Demonstrated experience in the drafting for parts incorporating composite materials.
Organized individual with good file management and versioning for CAD files.
Demonstrated experience in the modelling of novel drone designs.
Knowledge of technical documentation software like SolidWorks Composer/similar.
Knowledge of rendering software like SolidWorks Visualize/Keyshot/similar.
SolidWorks Certification as expert/professional/associate is advantageous.
Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Possesses keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
