Job Description
JOB PURPOSE/OVERVIEW/SUMMARY:We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Merchandise Manager; you will beresponsible for overseeing the selection, procurement, and management of merchandise forcorporate gifting purposes. You will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams toensure the seamless execution of gifting programs and initiatives.
KEY DELIVERABLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research and identify suitable merchandise options aligned with client preferencesand budgetary constraints.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand client requirementsand preferences.
Maintain updated knowledge of market trends and industry best practices incorporate gifting.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitivepricing and favorable terms.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness andtimely delivery of merchandise.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns on time.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levelsand minimize excess inventory.
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify potentialdiscrepancies.
Establish quality standards for merchandise and conduct regular inspections toensure compliance.
Address quality issues promptly and collaborate with suppliers to implementcorrective actions.
Solicit feedback from clients to evaluate merchandise quality and satisfaction levels.
Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromisingquality or client satisfaction.
Requirements
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management,or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in merchandise management, preferably in a corporategifting or related industry.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and inventory management software.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
