Overview

The EHS Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the overall well-being of the organization. This role is integral to maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to control workplace hazards.
Plan and oversee emergency response procedures and drills.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees.
Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies and conduct inspections.
Monitor and analyze EHS performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Participate in the design and implementation of environmental management systems.
Lead and support sustainability initiatives.
Manage EHS documentation and record-keeping.
Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Stay informed about EHS best practices and regulatory changes.

Experience : 3-5 Years in pharma industry

Qualification : Diploma Chemical / B.Sc. Chemistry

Job Location : Hosur

Unit : Global Calcium Pvt Ltd. Unit - 3

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
3+ years of experience in EHS or related role.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing control measures.
Proficient in emergency response planning and implementation.
Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
Ability to investigate incidents and identify root causes.
Experience in leading EHS audits and inspections.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
Proficiency in EHS software and record management systems.
Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.
