Senior Accounts Executive

Company Profile:

It is an Italian company, world leader in the construction of machines and plants for the processing of natural stone and composite stone, as well as lapping and cutting machines for ceramic slabs, as well as in the production of high-speed machining centers for the automotive and aerospace, strengthens its presence in the ceramic sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Verification:
• Verify and process accounting entries in the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Conduct reconciliation of accounts, including bank reconciliations, inter-company accounts, and GL accounts.
• Assist in the audit process by providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
2. GST & TDS Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations, including preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).
• Monitor and maintain accurate GST records, ensuring timely reconciliation of GST payable and receivable accounts.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of TDS returns (TDS on payments to contractors, salaries, etc.) and ensure timely deduction and remittance as per tax laws.
3. Payroll & Statutory Compliance:
• Assist with the processing of payroll on a monthly basis, ensuring all statutory deductions (Provident Fund, ESI, Professional Tax) are calculated and remitted accurately.
• Maintain records of employee salary payments, bonuses, reimbursements, and other payroll-related information.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and manage related filings such as PF, ESI, PT, and other statutory returns.
4. Payment Processing:
• Process payments for both local and international transactions, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and other business-related expenses.
• Handle inward remittances (foreign currency receipts, payment receipts from global clients) and outward remittances (payments to foreign vendors and service providers).
• Ensure payments are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Verify the accuracy of payment details, including currency conversion rates, banking charges, and supporting documentation.
5. Inventory Management & Verification:
• Assist with inventory verification, ensuring accurate records of stock movements, and reconciliation with accounting entries.
• Collaborate with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure proper inventory control and the timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Conduct periodic inventory audits and ensure the accurate reflection of inventory in financial reports.
6. International Transactions & Foreign Exchange Management:
• Process international transactions, including managing foreign exchange (FX) rates and ensuring that all international payments (inward and outward remittances) comply with relevant regulations.
• Work with banks and financial institutions to ensure accurate FX transactions and remittances, including coordinating with the global finance team for cross-border transactions.
• Maintain records of international transactions, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with transfer pricing policies and foreign exchange regulations.
7. Record Keeping & Documentation:
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation for all accounting transactions.
• Assist in maintaining filing systems for accounting records, invoices, payments, and other financial documents.
• Ensure that records are up-to-date and readily accessible for review and audits.
8. Cross-Functional Coordination:
• Collaborate with internal departments (sales, procurement, legal, HR) to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Assist in responding to internal and external queries related to accounting and finance.
9. Other Responsibilities:
• Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends.
• Provide support to management and global accounting team members and assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes.
