Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of optical sorting systems, factory automation systems, material handling systems, and special-purpose machines from concept to production. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in design, production, and assembly to optimize designs for efficiency and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and development of material handling systems, conveyors, and special-purpose machines.
2. Create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
3. Prepare and maintain technical specifications and documentation.
4. Coordinate with vendors for part selection and procurement.
5. Optimize existing designs for robustness, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
6. Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth assembly and product roll-out.
7. Perform feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical systems.
8. Manage the product life cycle and document necessary aspects throughout development.
9. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
10. Travel between factory and office when required (having a two-wheeler is preferable).

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Experience: 4-7 years in the design and development of material handling systems, conveyors, or special-purpose machines.
2. Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant domain.
3. Technical Skills:
   
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience in machine production or assembly.
• Understanding of prototyping, testing, and validation.
4. Soft Skills:
   
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership and ownership mindset for product life-cycle management.
• Enthusiastic about designing and building mechanical systems.

Salary & Compensation:

• CTC: ₹4-7 LPA (as per experience and expertise)
