Senior Executive / Assistant Manager - Site Safety

Job Description for Safety Manager

1. Safety & health management system and policy implementation and ensuring safe work environment all the time.

2. Communicate policy, objectives, programs & procedures and assess its effectiveness periodically.

3. Review site safety plan of contractors, ensure its implementation and periodic assessment and feedback to contractors.

4. Advice PM & Contractors for BOCW compliances and other relevant safety & health regulations and code of practices.

5. Enforce contractual safety and health requirements and company safety & health guidelines. Periodic assessment and feedback to contractors and PM.

6. Prepare & ensure adherence to weekly & monthly schedule for site inspection, safety audits, equipment inspections, training and TPI.

7. Coordinate project safety committee and ensure timely compliances of decisions.

8. Review and approval of hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) plan of routine and non-routine activities & equipments of contractors.

9. Review site logistic plan integrate safety & health infra requirements.

10. Ensure establishment of adequate basic safety & health infrastructure of contractors for first aid, safety induction, emergency medical help, sanitation, labour camp & crèche etc.

11. Ensure optimum & effective utilisation of site safety resources of company as well of contractors.

12. Maintain updated trackers of P&M equipment’s, lifting tools & tackles, electrical hand tools, electrical installations and ensure periodic check and maintenance.

13. Prepare fall protection tracker basis MEP cut-outs, shafts etc.

14. Ensure adequate provision and usage of PPE, its quality and buffer stock.

15. Conduct quarterly safety audit of site and coordinate periodic site roundabout of project manager.

16. Emergency planning, fire preventive & protection measures and training.

17. Ensure project is in spic & span condition with all round housekeeping within and perimeter of site.

18. Prepare and submit monthly safety progress report (MPR-Safety) to Head Safety duly validated by project manager.

19. Record all type of incidents including near miss and investigate and submit root cause analysis to project manager and Head Safety.

20. Report all incidents as per company procedure and hierarchy.

21. Investigation of dangerous occurrences, fires, reportable & medical treatment incidents and submit CAPA to project manager and safety head.

22. Monthly analyze all safety data and discuss in the project safety committee for better planning.

23. Identify training need and arrange suitable trainings. Ensure involvement of site staff in daily pep-talk.
