A dedicated software engineer with expertise in Linux Memory Management is needed to join our System Software team. This role will focus on developing and optimizing memory management solutions for current and next-generation Tegra SoCs. Join us if you're passionate about solving complex system-level challenges!
Design, develop, and optimize Linux kernel memory management subsystems for Tegra-based platforms.
Implement and improve page management, memory allocation, and virtual memory systems tailored for high-performance and embedded use cases.
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define and refine SoC memory management requirements.
Debug and triage complex kernel and user-space memory-related issues on production systems.
Improve memory handling in low-power, real-time, and resource-constrained environments.
Analyze and optimize system performance and resource utilization for Linux-based systems.
B. S. or M. S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in Linux kernel development, with a focus on memory management subsystems.
Deep understanding of Linux virtual memory systems, including paging, caching, and memory allocation.
Strong knowledge of ARM architecture and low-level debugging tools (e. g. , JTAG, gdb).
Proficiency in C and experience working with large, complex codebases.
Experience with kernel module development, memory profiling tools, and system-level debugging.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a distributed team.
Hands-on experience optimizing memory management for Tegra SoCs or similar embedded platforms.
Knowledge of NUMA, DMA, and IOMMU subsystems and their application in high-performance systems.
Familiarity with Linux kernel community processes and experience contributing to open-source projects.
Understanding of low-power memory management techniques and strategies.
Exposure to secure memory management concepts, including TrustZone or other isolation technologies.
