Position Summary:

Doon Institute of Medical Sciences is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual for the position of Nursing Tutor specializing in Child Health Nursing. The Nursing Tutor will play a crucial role in supporting the education and development of nursing students in the Child Health Nursing program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver courses in Child Health Nursing at the undergraduate level.
• Utilize effective teaching methods, simulations, and practical demonstrations to enhance student understanding.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Provide supervision and guidance to nursing students during clinical placements in child health settings.
• Ensure that students develop clinical competencies in pediatric nursing practice.
• Assist in the development and revision of the Child Health Nursing curriculum.
• Stay updated with advancements in child health nursing to ensure the curriculum remains current and relevant.
• Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student learning.
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance and progress.
• Offer mentorship and support to nursing students.
• Assist students in setting and achieving academic and clinical goals.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of developments in child health nursing and nursing education.
• Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Child Health Nursing.
• Current, unencumbered nursing licensure.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in child health nursing practice.
• Teaching experience or a strong interest in pursuing a career in nursing education.
